Bill Wallace is Head of Digital for Consumer & Community Banking, helping Chase to lead digital innovation in the financial services industry. Bill reports to Gordon Smith, CEO of Consumer & Community Banking.
The digital team encompasses Customer Experience and Design, Product and Payments, Platform and Delivery, Data Intelligence and Data Analytics, as well as Technology and Engineering, which support the firm’s broad Digital platform.
Since joining Chase in 1993, Bill has held key leadership positions in a variety of areas. Most recently, he was the Head of Operations for Chase Consumer and Community Banking. There he led a team of nearly 40,000 colleagues across a global network for the Consumer Bank, Card Services, Chase Wealth Management, Business Banking, Auto Finance and Commerce Solutions.
Before that he was the President of Customer Experience for Chase Card Services and the President of the Mass Affluent business unit which included P&L responsibility for Chase FreedomSM and SlateSM credit cards as well as responsibility for the Marketing Acquisitions center of excellence.
Bill has also served as the general manager of Chase’s partner business managing co-brand, affinity and financial institution partnerships and is a past Chief Information Officer for Chase Card Services technology organization.
Prior to joining Chase, Bill was with General Electric’s Aerospace Division and Advanced Concepts Center. Bill holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Vermont.
