CEO, Chase Business Banking
Jennifer Roberts is the Chief Executive Officer of Chase Business Banking.
Chase Business Banking provides deposit, credit and cash management services to more than 3 million small business owners across the U.S. with up to $20 million in annual revenue.
In 2020, Chase Business Banking was #1 among the nation’s six biggest banks in J.D. Power’s annual Small Business Banking study, and #1 in primary bank market share nationally per Barlow.
The firm was also the #1 lender of Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan relief, having provided more than $32 billion to small businesses in need.
Roberts is passionate about making it easier for small business owners to bank with Chase. She is the driving force behind simplifying and building product systems that do the work for the customer, and modernizing outdated or manual processes so business owners can do more online and on mobile. Roberts and her team also recently launched the Minority Entrepreneurs program as part of the firm’s $30 billion commitment to racial equity to help more Black and Latinx entrepreneurs start and grow their business.
Roberts serves on the board of WHYY, a public radio station in Philadelphia. She is also the Executive Sponsor of CCB’s Hispanic Leadership Forum, an executive resource for senior leaders of the Hispanic/Latino community and a key part of the firm’s diversity and inclusion efforts.
Roberts has been a leader in Chase’s consumer businesses since joining the firm in 1996. Before becoming CEO in January 2019, she led Digital Products and Chase Pay. She also served in a number of executive roles in Card Services including leadership of Ultimate Rewards, the Sapphire portfolio, loyalty and acquisitions. Before joining Chase, Roberts worked in marketing and portfolio management for other card issuers.
Roberts holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Towson State University and an M.B.A. from the University of North Texas. She and her husband have three children and live in Pennsylvania.
