Biography
CEO, Chase Merchant Services
Matt Kane is the Chief Executive Officer for Chase Merchant Services, the global payment acceptance and merchant acquiring business of JPMorgan Chase & Co. Merchant Services is a leading provider of payment, fraud management and data security solutions, capable of authorizing transactions in more than 120 currencies.
As CEO, Kane provides payment processing for companies of all sizes and manages a portfolio of roughly $1 trillion in transactions annually.
Kane brings more than 18 years of experience in Card Services, Credit, Operations, Risk and Marketing to his role.
Most recently, Kane was Managing Director of Corporate Development, responsible for bringing all issuing and acquiring assets in Card Services and Merchant Services together to deliver even greater value to Chase’s clients.
Kane was previously Chief Risk Officer for Card, Chase Commerce Solutions and Auto Finance, managing end-to-end risk management of the business, including lending policy, regulatory compliance, and operational risk oversight. Prior to this role, he was the General Manager of the Chase Freedom credit card, responsible for all aspects of marketing, product development, and customer experience.
Earlier in his career, he was the Head of Acquisitions Marketing for Chase Card Services. In this position, he was responsible for organic growth across all credit card products.
Kane holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a master’s degree in Applied Mechanics from the University of Virginia.
