Biography

Ben Walter is the Chief Executive Officer of Chase for Business, a trusted financial partner to more than 7.4 million small businesses across the U.S. Chase for Business helps businesses with up to $20M in revenue across a full range of industries run and grow through deposit, cash management and lending products, powerful digital tools, advice and service from a team of local bankers, and access to an extensive branch network. Chase is the #1 primary bank for small business owners in the United States and is ranked #1 in small business online banking by Barlow Research Associates.

With more than 25 years of financial services and retail strategy experience, Walter has a deep understanding and passion for serving small business owners. Before joining Chase in 2021, he was Global Retail CEO for Hiscox, a leader in specialty insurance for small and medium-sized businesses; he had previously served as the company’s US CEO. Earlier in his career Walter held roles at BlackRock, Gap, Inc., Boston Consulting Group, and Continental Airlines.

Walter was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Washington University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University. He and his wife have two children and live in New York.
