Biography
Leslie Wims Morris is the CEO of Chase Auto and a member of the Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) leadership team. Chase Auto is a leading provider of auto financing with a portfolio of $88 billion in assets and relationships with 75% of U.S. franchised automotive dealers. The business serves auto dealers, consumers and vehicle manufacturers with a range of products and services, including retail lending, captive financing and floorplan products to cash management, private banking and payment processing.
Joining Chase in 2018, Wims Morris held several leadership roles at the firm. Most recently, as Chase Auto’s President of Private Label Captive Finance where she built and scaled the white-labeled lending business with global manufacturers, while delivering franchise value to our partners. She also served as the Head of Corporate Development for CCB where she led the development and launch of strategic partnerships, acquisitions and investments, with leading consumer, technology, payments, e-commerce and fintech companies and participated in firmwide strategic initiatives. She also served as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.
In addition, she currently serves on the board of directors of IQVIA Holdings, a Fortune 500 company and leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions, and clinical research services to the life sciences industry.
Previously, she was Vice President of Executive Partnerships at American Express where she was responsible for developing and leading American Express’ largest strategic relationships on a global basis. She also led the firm’s telecom, oil, convenience, and grocery merchant business ($250M in revenue) for five years, working with Fortune 50 companies such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Exxon, Chevron, Kroger and Whole Foods.
Prior to joining American Express, Wims Morris was Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development Broadridge Financial Solutions and Senior Vice President at Jefferies & Company. She began her career as a Technology M&A Banker at Broadview International.
Wims Morris holds a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Yale University.
Active in her community, she joined the board of the Dance Theatre of Harlem in 2010 and currently serves as Vice Chairman.
