Chief Executive Officer, Chase Home Lending

Mark O’Donovan is the Chief Executive Officer of Chase Home Lending, a business dedicated to helping families achieve and sustain homeownership through both Consumer and Correspondent channels. Ranking #2 in servicing and #3 in originations, Chase services more than 3 million mortgages with combined balances of more than $700B.

O’Donovan is also the executive sponsor of JPMorgan Chase’s $30 billion commitment to help close the racial wealth gap among Black, Hispanic and Latino communities. Under O’Donovan’s leadership, the firm is bringing together its business, philanthropy, policy and data expertise to advance racial equity and drive inclusive growth.

He serves on the Mortgage Bankers Association Board of Directors as well as on the Housing Policy Council’s Executive Committee.  O’Donovan is also on the Policy Advisory Board of Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies.

O’Donovan has been with JPMorgan Chase for more than 20 years serving in a number of roles. Most recently, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Chase Auto, managing a portfolio of more than $80 billion in assets and relationships with 75% of U.S. franchised automotive dealers.  Previously, he was the Global Controller of the entire JPMorgan Chase franchise.

He started his career at the firm serving in a number of business controller roles in New York, London and Singapore.  Before joining JPMorgan Chase in 1996, O’Donovan worked in the Audit and International Banking practice at Deloitte & Touche, where he became a Certified Public Accountant.

O'Donovan earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Susquehanna University and lives in New Jersey with his wife and three children.
