Biography

Pablo Rodriguez serves as Chief Communications Officer for Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) at JPMorgan Chase. He is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of internal, external, executive and social media communications that support CCB’s eight lines of business and nine functions. Together, CCB serves more than 82 million consumers and 6.4 million small businesses, with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. Working in partnership with a talented group of communicators, Pablo promotes and protects the reputation of CCB while advancing storytelling efforts across the entire firm.

Pablo brings 20 years of communications experience in both traditional financial services and fintech. He joined JPMorgan Chase in 2018 from PayPal, where he served as Senior Director of Global Consumer Initiatives. At PayPal, Pablo oversaw communications for the consumer brands within the PayPal global portfolio, including Venmo and Xoom brands, as well as the company’s Social Innovation and Powering Giving narratives. He was also part of the leadership team who led the split of PayPal from eBay, Inc. into an independent company in July 2015. 

Before joining PayPal, Pablo was senior vice president and global client relationship manager at Edelman, one of the largest global communication agencies, where he managed all aspects of the Charles Schwab account.

He began his career with H-E-B, a privately-owned retailer with more than 435 stores throughout Texas and northern Mexico, where he served as a media spokesperson and member of the leadership team who managed communications and philanthropic programming.

Pablo is a graduate of Texas A&M University (College Station) where he earned a B.A. in Communications. He was named as an honoree to PRWeek’s 40 Under 40 List in 2016.
