Chase Reaches North Carolina Growth Milestones: 30 branches in Charlotte and 60 across North Carolina

Celebrates Newest Branch in Charlotte’s South End neighborhood; June Expansion Included 15 New Branches Nationally (66 since January)

CHARLOTTE, NC; July 10, 2026 — Chase announced today that it has reached two major milestones in its growth in North Carolina, reaching 30 branches in Greater Charlotte and 60 branches statewide, reflecting the firm’s continued commitment to in-person banking, guidance, and support. The bank's newest location in Charlotte’s South End, Chase’s 30th branch in the market, will host its grand opening Saturday.

Chase opened its first branch in North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 2019. Since then, Chase has expanded its presence across the state including Charlotte, the Triangle, the Triad, and Western North Carolina, with 60 branches statewide. Today, the company has more than 1,300 employees in the state across all its lines of business including Commercial and Investment Banking, Consumer and Business Banking and J.P. Morgan Private Bank, deepening its ability to serve the financial needs of individuals, families, governments, non-profits and businesses throughout the state.

“North Carolina is made up of communities with distinct identities, and that means banking needs aren’t one-size-fits-all,” said Ryan McGauley, head of Business Banking for the Carolinas at Chase and the firm’s Carolinas Market Leadership Team co-chair. “It’s important for us to be on the ground across the state, building relationships and serving as an advice center for consumers and businesses alike. Whether someone is growing a business, buying a home, or making an important financial decision for their family, we want them to have a local team they can sit down with, talk through their options, and rely on to be there for the long term.”

Located at 2901 South Blvd., Charlotte, N.C., the South End branch sits along one of the city’s busiest thoroughfares, in a neighborhood that has become one of Charlotte’s most active places to live, work, and do business. South End is a fast-growing, urban community with tens of thousands of residents and workers, a steady stream of new retail and dining, and strong transit access. In addition to Branch Manager Ryan Jor El Coleman, the South End branch team includes a relationship banker, a Private Client banker, a home lending advisor, a financial advisor and a business banker, as well as two ATMs for transactions.

Chase’s growth in North Carolina is part of Chase’s broader, nationwide expansion of its branch network. So far this year Chase has opened 66 branches and refreshed 180 locations nationwide. Chase is working toward a goal of having 75% of Americans within a reasonable drive of a branch, and more than 50% of residents within each state within a reasonable drive of a location.

In the month of June, Chase opened 15 branches nationally, including its first Asheville-area branch. Chase expects to open two additional branches in the Asheville market over the next three years.

In addition to branch expansion, JPMorganChase is expanding its corporate presence in Charlotte by signing a lease for a new corporate office location at One Piedmont Town Center. Located at 4725 Piedmont Row Dr. in SouthPark, the new office will ultimately accommodate about 400 new hires, bringing the total to more than 1,000 employees at the location.
